The hall of the socio-cultural center of La Villa de Teguise was the stage chosen by the members of the murga "Las Chicavillas" to carry out their presentation this weekend. At 9 p.m. the chords of the Merekumbé batucada burst in with very good rhythm and carnival march in the social hall, surrounding the nine members of the murga.
Las Chicavillas took the stage wearing a fantasy by designer Toño Aparicio, entitled "I'm evil but I'm not going to screw you over". Then they began to sing their musical repertoire with some very well-crafted themes and where they left no puppet with a head, giving the municipal government group a review. They also had criticism for oil, among other issues.
One of the peculiarities of Las Chicavillas is that they do not use percussion and, in addition to their voices, they only use the famous murga whistle as an instrument. During the event, the public could not only enjoy the performance of this murga, but also the performance of the comedian Juanito Panchín, who presented his new show. To finish, the members of the Merekumbé batucada put the finishing touch full of rhythm.
