The General Directorate of Security and Emergencies of the Canary Islands has reactivated the pre-alert for wind in Lanzarote and in five other islands of the archipelago, where local intervals of between 50 and 60 kilometers per hour and maximum gusts of up to 90 kilometers per hour are expected.
The warning will be active from 8:00 p.m. this Monday and in the case of Lanzarote, it will especially affect the municipalities of Arrecife, San Bartolomé, Tías and part of Yaiza.
According to Aemet's forecasts, the wind will continue to blow strongly throughout Tuesday and Wednesday morning, beginning to subside from that afternoon.
