The singers from Lanzarote, Isi and Dulce, are at the top of the polls in the "Others" and "Latina" categories, respectively, to represent Spain at the Eurovision 2009 gala. Isi leads the "Others" category with her song "Ahora no" (Not now), which has obtained 12,000 votes, and Dulce occupies the fifth position in the "Latina" category. Joining them is Cristian from Lanzarote who, although further behind, is also still fighting to make a place for himself in the gala.
For its part, the Amigos de José Vélez collective, presided over by Ismael Montero, has asked the population of Lanzarote to support the participation of these three aspirants and vote for them through the website [www.myspace.com/eurovision2009->http://www.myspace.com/eurovision2009]. The collective has reminded that it is possible to vote up to five times through the mentioned website.
The voting will be open until January 19 and with the results obtained, a list will be drawn up with the five most voted candidates from each category, who will move on to the second phase of galas and casting on TV.
