San Bartolomé dressed up for the pilgrimage this Saturday in honor of its patron saint. At 6:30 p.m., the procession of neighbors dressed for the occasion left from the vicinity of the IES San Bartolomé, touring the main streets of the town. The tour concluded in the church square, with a huge attendance of pilgrims who filled the streets of the town with music and tradition, making their offerings to the patron saint.

A total of 19 carts participated, which gave color, atmosphere and animation to the evening, as well as horses, ponies and 2 camels. The pilgrimage was enlivened by the folklore groups Guadarfía, La Peña, the parrandas Los Labradores, El Jolgorio, Los Encontrados, El Requinto and La ilusión de los mayores, who added their notes of joy and fun to the streets of the town. In addition, there were also improvised parrandas and parranderos who enlivened the journey to the rhythm of toque.

Several members of the Municipal Corporation also attended the event, well dressed for the occasion and led by the mayoress, María Dolores Corujo. They too made their offering before the Holy Patron. The offerings were made at the door of the church, presided over by the Holy Patron, the parish priest, the mayoress and the councilors. There, the participating groups and parrandas also played, sang and danced before the saint. In addition, numerous boxes of food were collected for Cáritas Parroquial. The evening continued with the night of parrandas and lasted until almost 4 in the morning.
