The Platform 'We are all Romina' has gathered this Thursday at the gates of the Tahíche prison to ask that her death "not go unpunished" and that "the greatest sentence fall" on her husband and alleged murderer, Raúl Díaz Cachón, in provisional prison since last January 16.

"We cannot let this case of femicide pass", says the Platform 'We are all Romina', composed of members of the Paraguayan and Latin American community residing in Lanzarote, which demands Justice "for a companion, daughter, mother, woman and immigrant who came to Spain for a better future and to form a family".

The Platform 'We are all Romina' considers that there are "many tests that clearly point" to Romina's husband as "guilty" and they beg him to "confess his crime", since Raúl Díaz Cachón declared that he had disposed of the young woman's body, but denied having participated in the death of his wife, stating that he had found her dead when he arrived home.

Likewise, they demand that he confess "the truth to find Romina's body", although in this regard it must be remembered that the young woman's husband stated that he had disposed of the body by throwing it at different points on the Lanzarote coast and that an "organic fragment" has been located on Las Cucharas Beach in Costa Teguise that could belong to Romina's body, after which the GEA divers have reactivated the searches at sea.
