The surroundings of the La Miñoca café, in the Charco de San Ginés, were the scene last Saturday of the concert of the local bands Faktótum and Chocolate Sexy, held within the framework of the I Jolaterock Festival, sponsored by the Department of Culture of the Arrecife City Council.
Thus, the youngest were able to enjoy the banks of the Charco de San Ginés and good rock from these two well-known local bands, who made the numerous rock and roll lovers who wanted to come to this emblematic area of the capital vibrate.
The concert was also attended by the first deputy mayor of the Arrecife City Council, José Montelongo, and the Councilor for Culture, Eva de Anta, as well as other councilors of the Corporation, such as Jacobo Lemes. According to De Anta, "the objective of this type of activity is to revitalize the privileged public spaces that we have in Arrecife, for the benefit of the residents and the companies located in those areas".
Bands
Faktótum began its musical career in the middle of 2009. Integrated by José María de Páiz (voice), Mame Spínola (guitar), Sergio de Páiz "El Potaje" (drums), Gango Aguilar (guitar) and Jorge Díaz (bass), their singer had been composing songs for a year in which he saw the possibility of them being performed by a band.
It was also José María de Páiz, renamed "Bomb" for the new project, who knocked on the doors of the four musicians who accompany him in this musical project.
For their part, the members of Chocolate Sexy, tired of playing half-classics in barbecues and campsites, decided to finally take the lyrics from the Internet and improve them in the rehearsal room. With influences from Sabrina, Samantha Fox or Plastic Ono Band, these young people from Arrecife love to "rehearse in pajamas", as they point out on their facebook wall.
Chocolate Sexy is made up of Gango (guitar), Perola (bass), PP (drums), and Randy Watson (vocals).
