The CEIP Playa Honda will not be able to offer care to students aged two years during the 2023-2024 school year that begins next week. This was reported in a statement issued on Thursday morning, signed by the director of the center Rafael Juan González.

According to the Ministry of Education to the school's management, the CEIP Playa Honda is within a batch to tender the adaptation works of two classrooms that will host students of this age, but the forecast is that it will not start this year.

The educational center has stated that this news is "a disappointment" and has also added that the school will lose workers because of this "readjustment".

Also, from the CEIP Playa Honda urges affected families to discuss the situation with the school, if necessary. However, they say that it is the Ministry of Education that has powers with this matter.

Sources from the Ministry of Education of the Government of the Canary Islands has assured La Voz that "those children are not left on the street." In this line he insisted that they are looking for "the best possible solution" for this student to be relocated.
