Tías has received the presence of two great basketball players in Spain. Fernando Romay and Elisa Aguilar, who have been part of the Spanish Basketball Team, are this weekend in the municipality of Tías, on the island of Lanzarote. Last night, the Indieras hall of Tías, next to the Culture building of the Tías Town Hall, was filled with residents and basketball fans to listen to an entertaining talk by Romay and Elisa about 'Parents' School'. The presence of the former player and former captain of the Spanish basketball team, Elisa Aguilar, and former Real Madrid and Spanish National Team player, Fernando Romay, these days in Lanzarote, is part of the activities that are being developed in Tías this week to commemorate the 20th Anniversary of the Magec Tías Sports Club.
Magec Tías has scheduled for this Sunday, March 1, a day of environmental awareness with the cleaning of several areas of the municipality starting at 10 in the morning. They will conclude this playful day with a fraternal paella.
