A new boat has been located this Thursday when it was one mile from La Graciosa. The Salvamar vessel has gone to the area, which has been in charge of transferring its occupants to the Commercial Dock of Arrecife.
According to the Emergency Consortium, 24 immigrants of Maghreb origin, three of them women and two minors, were traveling on this second boat. All are afebrile, asymptomatic for covid and in good general condition.
They have stated that they left Safi and have been on board for five days.
This is the second boat detected this day near the coasts of the island. The other was located at dawn 13 miles from Lanzarote, with 25 people on board. Among them were a woman and a two-year-old girl, who had to be transferred to the Hospital with signs of hypothermia and dehydration.
