Aderlan, through the management of the Leader + community plan, has launched an initiative in Lanzarote that aims to promote the entrepreneurial spirit among the students of the Island. "The Rural School Undertakes" is the project that Aderlan already carried out last year in Haría and that, on this occasion, is present in municipalities such as Teguise or Tinajo.
This project is structured in three areas, one specific for primary, another for secondary and, the last one, designed for students of baccalaureate or training cycles. "Business Workshop" is the name of this last area, where the students, after a theoretical approach, have had to design a business plan.
Four young people from Lanzarote have received, this Wednesday, an award for the design of a business project, developed within the "Business Workshop". Grupo Adaye is the winning plan of this contest, which simulates a company dedicated to carrying out events and excursions around the Island, both for individuals and for companies.
"What is intended with this initiative is to bring the business world closer to the youngest, teach them what the structure of a company is like and what are the basic actions that must be designed and developed to offer a product or a service", commented Mercedes Robayna, manager of Aderlan.
The Island Director of Education, Juan Cruz, and the Director of Educational Promotion of the Government of the Canary Islands, Rafael González, attended the award ceremony, where it was also explained what the project "The Rural School Undertakes" consists of. The latter stated that proposals such as the one created by Aderlan are very positive for the development of society, "since we live in a very competitive world, so I think it's great that young people are imbued with the entrepreneurial spirit", commented González.
Website presentation
Aderlan also took advantage of this award ceremony of "The Rural School Undertakes" to present the new website of this association, [www.aderlan.org->www.aderlan.org]. "This website is born with a vocation for service, it will try to inform about the activities and aid that can be managed through the association", commented Manuel Fajardo, technician of Aderlan.
For her part, Mercedes Robayna commented that the web space they had was part of the page www.lanzarotenatural.org. "Now we have our own page and we hope that with it the aid we manage through the association will reach more people, although as it is an association aimed at rural development, Internet is not very widespread in many of the island's towns", commented Robayna.
