An Instagram video shared by the DJ of a nightclub shows how the venue, located in the Marina Lanzarote port of Arrecife, failed to comply with anti-Covid measures this weekend and used the dance floor, where people were dancing, without masks and without social distancing.

Due to the level 2 alert in which Lanzarote and La Graciosa are located, nightlife venues can open but with restrictions, and the Government of the Canary Islands maintains the prohibition of the use of the dance floor.

The Local Police have indicated to La Voz that, at least until this Monday, they are not aware of any complaint against the premises for these events.

Regarding the controls carried out on weekends, the City Council explains that they have a total of "five agents" who ensure compliance with Covid measures in the capital's nightlife, and that they usually coordinate with the National Police "to guarantee compliance with the measures."
