A team of bridge players from Lanzarote was proclaimed with the triumph

of the Spanish Mixed Teams Bridge Championship 2009, organized by the Spanish Federation of Bridge and played this past weekend

in Madrid.

The team, made up of four people from the Isla de Bridge Club

Lanzarote- Luis Franco, won the first place in the

heart modality, (third spades) representing the Canary Islands. The

delegation from Lanzarote, who have brought this first trophy to Lanzarote

national in the history of Bridge on the island of volcanoes, has been

formed by José Marcial Pérez Toledo, Joseph Hassan, Mari Carmen Andreyy Ling Dyrup, president of the Club in Lanzarote
