Las Cucharas Avenue hosted Santa Claus' parade on Sunday afternoon, accompanied by his helpers, stilt walkers, Disney characters and other dolls, who arrived at the Las Cucharas amphitheater to the rhythm of the Los Cumbacheros Comparsa and the Teguise Municipal Band, to receive the little ones who sat on Santa Claus himself's lap.

In addition, throughout the weekend the municipality has filled its stages with music and solidarity. In Costa Teguise, the San Bartolomé Choir also performed in Pueblo Marinero; while the Civic Center hosted Christmas Carols in English, benefiting "Calor y Café", and the Santo Domingo Convent was the stage for the concert "The New World" by the Teguise Band.

On that stage, a concert was held last Friday whose objective is to publicize and promote different singer-songwriters from the islands, in addition to collaborating with the Acompañar Association, which is dedicated to helping and providing psychological support in grief and serious illness. Eleven musicians from Lanzarote, Gran Canaria, Tenerife and Cuba participated in this year's edition of "Singer-songwriters who accompany": Sergio Padrón, Yosán Pereda, Maru Cabrera, Elisa Felipe, Estefanía Curbelo, Laura Cox, Yarel Hernández, Yoriell Carmona, Ari Jiménez and Jesús Garriga.

On the other hand, the Teguise Christmas Craft Fair was closed this Sunday, which served as a showcase and opportunity to exhibit and sell the work of artisans from Lanzarote and also to promote the cultural and commercial dynamism of the Villa de Teguise during the weekend, thanks to the collaboration of the Cabildo de Lanzarote, the Association of Merchants and Businessmen of the Villa (ACOVITE) and Felapyme.
