A Loggerhead turtle was rescued this Wednesday in La Graciosa. The divers from the Líneas Romero Diving Center found her trapped in a plastic bag. The specimen of the protected species Caretta Caretta had become entangled with the bag, which caused necrosis of one of its fins.
The divers managed to transport her alive to the port of Caleta de Sebo, for later transfer to Lanzarote. The Loggerhead turtle is one of the most common species in the La Graciosa Marine Reserve.
