The Salvamar Al Nair rescued 50 people on board a Zodiac-type boat this Tuesday.
The Zodiac with which they were trying to reach the Canary Islands was detected by the radar of the SIVE coastal surveillance system, which made it possible to mobilize a rescue boat from Arrecife to help them.
Specifically, there are 40 men, seven women and three children, some of Maghrebi origin and others of sub-Saharan origin.
Maritime Rescue has arrived at the Commercial dock at around 4:30 p.m. where the Red Cross has assisted them. One of the occupants had to be transferred to the Molina Orosa hospital due to different pathologies.
