The Hotel Dreams Playa Dorada in Playa Blanca hosted this Sunday, May 26, the VIII edition of A day for you, a meeting organized by the Asociación Social Creciendo, through its 'Cuidándonos' project, which is financed by the Department of Social Rights, Equality, Diversity and Youth of the Government of the Canary Islands. The objective is to recognize the work of all mothers and non-professional caregivers of children with functional diversity, offering them the opportunity to enjoy a comforting day dedicated to their well-being in the facilities of this hotel complex, all courtesy of the hotel and under the attention of its exceptional staff who every year go out of their way to make this day remain etched in their memories.

The day started around 9:00 a.m. with the welcome of about fifty participants, distribution of commemorative shirts of the day and a delicious breakfast, and extended until the afternoon including a yoga class and workshop with Cataisa, psychologist of the association, activities in the pool with the hotel's animation team, a photocall in which participants and representatives of the hotel, association and institutions took photos and signed, and lunch with live music. Braulio Betancort put the finishing touch to the day by reading a few words dedicated to the mothers and a raffle with prizes for everyone.

The association publicly thanks the owners of the Hotel Dreams Playa Dorada and all its staff for the "exceptional" welcome once again and for their social commitment, especially with this day of visibility of the double role that in most cases mothers and caregivers of people with functional diversity play, where resources, care, support, work-life balance do not always have support. "Behind every child with functional diversity there is a mother with a great responsibility who, after overcoming the stages prior to acceptance, finds her mission in life," emphasizes the director of the Asociación Social Creciendo Ligia Molnar.

For his part, the president of the association, Osvaldo Montenegro, highlights the presence at the conference of the deputy directors and first head of reception of the Hotel, Enrique Cazorla, Alicia Propín and Inés Fajardo, respectively, to whom he personally thanks "these eight years of continuous disposition on the part of the hotel and its employees", and that of the Minister of Social Welfare of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, Marciano Acuña, who also wanted to come to recognize the work of these "super moms".

It should be noted that to promote the reconciliation of mothers or caregivers, the day organized a 'Respiro' in Aqualava in which children and young people enjoyed the southern water park under the supervision and care of monitors and volunteers.
