A group of 13 students from IES Agustín Espinosa has enjoyed an unforgettable experience in Darmstadt (Germany) thanks to the Erasmus+ program. For eight days, the students have been immersed in the local culture, participating in educational activities and living with students from various backgrounds belonging to the IGS Mornewegschule school.

Erasmus+ is the European Union's program for education, training, youth and sport. It offers opportunities for students, teachers and professionals to carry out educational and cultural exchanges in different countries.

This project allows students to broaden their horizons, learn about new cultures, improve their language skills and acquire valuable skills for their personal and professional future. In addition, it promotes inclusion, tolerance and understanding between different cultures.

In addition, during their stay in Germany, the students have participated in various activities, such as classes and workshops on physical activity, its relationship with European natural and cultural heritage and sustainability, cultural visits to emblematic places in the city and surrounding towns such as Frankfurt, visits to natural environments such as the Darmstadt forest and cultural heritage such as the Waldspirale and leisure activities related to sports, such as ice skating and indoor sports.

The students have had a very positive experience, where the opportunity to learn about new cultures, make friends from different countries and learn in an international environment stands out.

Student evaluations

“My experience has been wonderful at times, stressful at others, but I have met many people and I really liked sharing time with Spanish and German people. I would repeat it again even though I was very cold", Nadia Cabrera de la Rosa.

For her part, Daima Karen Sidibe Cámara highlighted that "these days, I have learned many things both personally and socially and I have loved this new chapter in my life, a shame that it has already ended, I would definitely repeat it".

In short, this Erasmus+ mobility has been a transformative experience for our students. In this way, the Erasmus+ program allows students to grow as people, expand their knowledge and prepare for a global future.
