An Air Europa Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft is already flying the skies with the name of Lanzarote and the claim A Unique Island. This initiative is framed in the co-marketing agreement that exists between this national airline and SPEL-Turismo Lanzarote.

Oswaldo Betancort highlights the impact of an action "that will spread the image of Lanzarote and the associated brand values through the main international airports to improve the promotion and positioning of the island in the markets contemplated in the strategic line #LanzarotePremium."

The Air Europa aircraft will display the name of Lanzarote on the more than 70 long-haul routes it has scheduled each month. The name of the island is also associated with an aircraft that consumes 20% less fuel and generates fewer carbon emissions than any other aircraft of similar size, a circumstance that will contribute to making the Council's commitment to the environment and sustainability visible.

Within the terms of the co-marketing agreement between Air Europa and SPEL Turismo Lanzarote, is also the naming of the plane with the name César Manrique-Lanzarote held last March.
