The Security and Emergency Consortium has had to intervene in extinguishing several fires that have originated from the burning of containers, cars and in a house on Calle José Antonio in Arrecife.
At approximately 09:45 on Wednesday, December 1, firefighters, alerted by the Emergency and Security Coordination Center (CECOES), moved to C/ José Antonio in Arrecife, as it had been reported that smoke was coming out of one of its houses, located on the fifth floor of a building. The firefighters accessed the house through the facade with the ladder vehicle. Once inside, its tenant explained that he had fallen asleep with the frying pan on the fire. At no time were there flames, but there was significant smoke. The firefighters ventilated the house as well as the corridor and the stairwell of the building.
In addition, on Tuesday, December 31, the Cosnsorcio de Emergencias personnel had to act in a traffic accident that had occurred at the Playa Honda roundabout towards Güime. The Firefighters had to disconnect the battery and carry out the cleaning tasks on the road.
And at approximately 23:04 hours they moved to C/ León y Castillo in Arrecife to put out the fire in a container, although when the Local Police officers arrived, they had already extinguished it.
