This Tuesday afternoon, an emergency device was activated in the Altavista neighborhood of Arrecife, after the Security and Emergency Consortium of Lanzarote received a notice about a person who was unresponsive inside a home.
The alert was raised by the young man's mother, who was concerned after not receiving a response from her son for several hours. Upon arrival, personnel from the Consortium, in coordination with the Local Police and the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC), proceeded to the controlled opening of the residence.
Once inside, they located the young man, who appeared to be asleep. He was immediately attended to by healthcare personnel and transported to the hospital in a basic life support ambulance, accompanied by his mother.
The service was terminated after the transfer, and no further details about their current condition have been released.
Authorities emphasize the importance of seeking help in situations of emotional crisis. The Ministry of Health reminds the public that the 024 Line is available free of charge and confidentially to assist people with suicidal thoughts, as well as their family members and loved ones.
