The Civil Guard of Costa Teguise arrested two 19-year-old young men last November 5, with initials R.C.V and J.E.E.S, one of Spanish nationality and the other of foreign nationality, as alleged perpetrators of two crimes of robbery with violence, two crimes of illegal detention and two crimes of injury. According to the Benemérita, one of them also has a police record for crimes against property.

Allegedly the detainees accessed the victim's house, a single-family home in the town of Tahíche, on two different occasions, on November 1 and 5, and after assaulting him, they tied his hands with a rope. According to the Benemérita, the first time they stole his mobile phone and cash, while the second time they only managed to steal the house keys, accessing the house on both occasions by jumping over the perimeter wall.

The investigation began on November 2, following the first complaint filed. In a statement, the Civil Guard points out that after the "few data provided" by the victim, they managed to identify one of the possible perpetrators and later the second.

After the pertinent police procedures, the Civil Guard managed to arrest R.C.V and J.E.E.S., the first in Arrecife and the second in Arrieta, as alleged perpetrators of two crimes of robbery with violence, two crimes of illegal detention and two crimes of injury.

The Civil Guard of Costa Teguise recovered in the vicinity several abandoned effects that would have been used in the crimes, such as masks, balaclavas, ropes, a crowbar, a saw and a simulated shotgun. In addition, a watch and a mobile phone were also recovered.
