Firefighters released two people on Saturday afternoon who had been trapped in the elevator of a hotel in Costa Teguise, according to reports from the Emergency Consortium.
The incident occurred around 7:37 p.m. when the Security Consortium received an alert about two people trapped in an elevator on Argentina Street in the tourist town.
Once on the scene, they verified that the people were in good condition and released them from the elevator's engine room.
