Two people have been slightly injured this Wednesday in a traffic accident on the LZ-40, near Rancho Texas. It is a 38-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman, who were traveling in a van that has overturned. Both have been transferred by ambulance to the Molina Orosa hospital in Arrecife.

The accident occurred around 2:30 p.m. At that time, the Coordinating Center for Security and Emergencies alerted firefighters, after receiving a notice of a rollover with people trapped inside a vehicle.

The firefighters have traveled to that point of the road that goes to Puerto del Carmen to 'extricate' the trapped, although it has finally not been necessary. According to the Consortium, finally the two occupants of the crashed van have managed to leave on their own and were already outside when the firefighters arrived.

Also attending were members of the Local Police of Tías and Civil Protection, as well as two basic ambulances and a medicalized ambulance from the Canary Emergency Service. In the first assistance at the scene, the medical personnel diagnosed both with minor injuries and later transferred them to the hospital.
