Two people were slightly injured this Sunday night after the cars they were driving collided on the Arrecife to Tías road, near the airport.

According to the Spanish Red Cross, the accident occurred at around 9:20 p.m. As soon as the Island Coordination Center received the alert, the NGO sent two ambulances to the scene, whose personnel attended to the two injured people, transferring them shortly after to the General Hospital of Lanzarote.

On the one hand, a 65-year-old woman suffered cuts to her upper limbs and, on the other hand, a 76-year-old man had head injuries that required stitches.

For its part, the Civil Guard of San Bartolomé was in charge of controlling traffic and preparing the appropriate report.
