Two people were injured on Sunday night after the car they were traveling in crashed into a palm tree and overturned on the Rambla Medular in Arrecife.
The accident occurred around 11:00 p.m. and firefighters from the Security and Emergency Consortium, National and Local Police, and an ambulance from the SUC went to the area.
According to reports from the Consortium, one of the occupants of the vehicle was trapped, so he had to be extricated by firefighters through the rear door with the rescue board. He was later transferred by ambulance to the Molina Orosa Hospital. The other injured person was able to get out on his own and was treated on site by the medical staff.
The firefighters removed the vehicle from where it was, as it had become embedded between some structures, and cleaned up all the remains of the accident. In addition, they removed the palm tree from the road, which was uprooted by the impact, as well as a traffic sign, which they had to cut with a radial saw.
