Two hikers had to be rescued after getting trapped on the summit of Mount Guenia in Guatiza, as reported by the Emergency Consortium.
The rescue took place at approximately 6:00 p.m. this Wednesday, May 17, when CECOES was alerted.
The firefighters went to the area and found that the two people were in an area with a risk of landslides. The emergency teams carried out a rope assembly to hoist them to a safe area. The two hikers were in good condition and were taken to the foot of the mountain.
