Two arrested and one investigated for violently robbing a person with disabilities in Costa Teguise

They stole a silver bracelet, a mobile phone, a bus pass, a wallet and his hearing aid, all valued at around 1800 euros, according to the Civil Guard

The Civil Guard of the Main Post of Costa Teguise has arrested two people and investigated a third between December 14 and 21 for the alleged authorship of a crime of robbery with violence perpetrated against a person with disabilities, from whom they stole several objects valued at 1800 euros.

The events were formalized as a result of the victim's complaint at the National Police facilities in Arrecife, in which he stated that in the early morning of December 8, when the complainant was in a leisure area of the town of Costa Teguise in the company of other people, he was attacked, causing contusions on his face of varying severity, having to administer stitches and after having been unconscious.

The victim was transferred to the Doctor Molina Orosa Hospital in Arrecife where the affected person regained consciousness and was able to see that they had stolen a silver bracelet, a mobile phone, a bus pass, a wallet and his hearing aid, this being an essential element for his communication due to his hearing disability, all valued at around 1800 euros.

However, the members of the Investigation Area found the aforementioned bus pass in the belongings of a detainee for other events, which is why the complaint and the medical reports, collecting with this indication diverse information with which it was possible to identify, based on the physical characteristics, several people related to the events, including the alleged main perpetrator of the aggression.

For this reason, the investigators carried out a search operation that would end with the investigation of a 36-year-old male, who was the one who had a bus pass of the complainant in his wallet, stating that it was from a friend of his who had lent it to him. In addition to this, two other people, one of 48 and 41 years old, were arrested for the alleged authorship of a crime of robbery with violence and intimidation, the detainees remaining, together with the investigated, at the judicial disposal of the corresponding Arrecife Duty Court.
