Three new boats arrive in Lanzarote and La Graciosa

More than a hundred immigrants have been located among the three boats, which are added to the other four arrivals between Saturday and Sunday.

Two new boats have arrived this Monday on the north coast of Lanzarote, while a third has arrived in La Graciosa. Among the three boats, more than a hundred immigrants have been located, according to the Security and Emergency Consortium, which has attended the arrival of seven boats since Saturday.

The first boat arrived in the area of Playa de Las Escamas, in the municipality of Haría, with 36 people on board, who stated that they left Dajla and had been on board for six days. Among them are two women and two minors.

The other boat that has reached the coasts of Lanzarote has arrived in the Caletón Blanco area, with 36 immigrants also located, of which three are women and 11 are minors. In this case, they reported that they left the Moroccan city of Safi, also six days ago.

The occupants of both boats were without fever and without symptoms compatible with Covid. However, two of the immigrants have been transferred to the Molina Orosa Hospital, one of them for multiple contusions, according to 112.

As for the third boat, it was spotted early this Monday in the El Río area and finally arrived in La Graciosa. A total of 36 Maghreb immigrants have arrived on it, including three women and six minors.

One of the occupants of this boat has also had to be transferred to the Molina Orosa Hospital. According to their statements, they also left Safi six days ago.

With these, there are already seven boats that have arrived in Lanzarote and La Graciosa since early Saturday morning, in which a total of 193 people have arrived.
