Agents of the National Police have arrested at the Lanzarote airport a man of 27 years of age, a woman of 25 and a minor of 17, as alleged perpetrators of documentary falsification crimes, when trying to take a flight with falsified passports.

The events were triggered when the staff of an airline operating a flight to Dublin at the Lanzarote airport gave notice to the police officers, since three individuals had been identified with documents of Italian nationality and dubious origin.

The agents were able to verify that the documents exhibited by these, two women and a man, had been falsified and lacked some of the required security measures, so they were arrested as alleged perpetrators of documentary falsification crimes.

Among their belongings, three passports of Albanian nationality were located, which finally revealed the real identity of the detainees. As one of the two women turned out to be a minor of 17 years of age, the police officers put the facts in knowledge of the Minors Section of the Provincial Prosecutor's Office of Las Palmas.

After the corresponding police report was instructed, the detainees were placed at the disposal of the competent Judicial Authority.
