National Police agents have arrested A.R.R., a 33-year-old man, and F.J.P.L., a 44-year-old man, with 18 and 35 police records respectively, in Arrecife as alleged perpetrators of a robbery with force in a bar in the capital of Lanzarote after being caught fleeing with a change vending machine.

Several neighbors called 091 after observing in the early morning how the arrested were forcing the access gate to the establishment, trying to force their way inside.

The agents who went to the scene surprised the two individuals as they were trying to flee carrying a change vending machine in their hands, so they were immediately arrested as alleged perpetrators of a robbery with force.

In the security check carried out, one of the arrested was found to have a 35-centimeter-long screwdriver, allegedly used to force the main gate of the establishment. After the corresponding police report was prepared, the detainees were placed at the disposal of the competent Judicial Authority.
