The man who fell through a jameo in Haría during noon this past Wednesday remains in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the Doctor José Molina Orosa Hospital. This is confirmed by health sources to La Voz.
The injured man is 64 years old and is in serious condition after falling into a jameo from a height of nine meters in the municipality of Haría. The events occurred near the LZ 201 road.
The first person to help him was a doctor who was in the area. At that time he had regained consciousness. Once on the scene, the paramedics decided to call the helicopter to get him out because it was not possible to do it on foot due to the difficulties presented by the orography of the territory. Firefighters, the GES rescue helicopter, a medicalized ambulance and another basic life support ambulance from the SUC, Local Police, Civil Protection and the Civil Guard acted at the scene.
