The lifeless body of a man was found among the rocks near Puerto Calero. The events took place early this Thursday afternoon. This has been confirmed by the Emergency Coordination Center to La Voz.
The firefighters of the Security and Emergency Consortium of Lanzarote and the GES helicopter intervened in the rescue of the corpse, as it is a difficult access area, according to the Consortium.
The corpse belongs to a man who is around 50 years old, of Uruguayan nationality but of Canarian descent. Thus, investigation sources suggest that the man lived in caves located between Playa Quemada and Puerto Calero.
At the moment, the Guardia Civil is investigating the case to determine whether or not the death was due to an accidental fall.
