The Civil Guard of the Main Post of Tías, has arrested during the early morning of August 26 a person with initials O.A.M.R. - 22 years old, Spanish nationality and numerous police records - as alleged perpetrator of a crime of robbery with force in things, being surprised while stealing inside a hardware store in the aforementioned municipality.
The intervention of the Civil Guard began around 01:30 hours, when the alert of several witnesses was received about a possible robbery that was being committed at that moment in the aforementioned business.
Upon arriving at the hardware store in question, the agents surprised inside a man who tried to flee the site, suffering injuries in a subsequent fall both he and the agent who was chasing him, being immediately arrested and transferred to the Molina Orosa Hospital of Arrecife to be attended.
In parallel, the second thief was able to flee the business, checking the agents that the two involved had piled up on the roof a large number of objects from the hardware store that were recovered and returned to its rightful owner, continuing the Civil Guard with the investigation to locate the second perpetrator of the crime.
The detainee, together with the police proceedings, passed on August 27 to the disposition of the corresponding Court, in functions of guard, of Arrecife.
