The Local Police of Teguise and the Civil Guard are jointly investigating the death of a woman after being run over by a bus in Costa Teguise this Wednesday. This was confirmed to La Voz by the Councilor of the Local Police of the municipality, Ginés González in statements to La Voz.

The woman was seriously injured on Wednesday morning in the coastal town of Teguise after being hit by a bus. After that, two ambulances, one medicalized and another with basic life support, provided assistance and transferred her to the Doctor José Molina Orosa Hospital, where they could do nothing to save her life.

For the moment, different parameters are being analyzed to clarify the facts, according to police sources. Among them, it is taken into account whether the driver had rested the scheduled hours using the data collected by the vehicle's tachograph. In addition, it will also be studied, through the GPS location, at what speed the bus was going to know if it exceeded the permitted limit.

Thus, according to these same sources, there are also witnesses who have stated that the vehicle was circulating "too fast". However, no further information has emerged, as the case remains in court. For the moment, it remains to be seen whether the bus driver will have to assume criminal responsibility or whether it was the responsibility of the victim.
