A 64-year-old man has been seriously injured after falling from a height of nine meters inside a jameo in the area known as Puerta Falsa in Haría, as reported by the Emergency Consortium. The events occurred near the LZ 201 road.
The accident occurred at approximately 1:30 p.m. this Wednesday, July 5, when CECOES was alerted. The first to attend to him was a doctor who was in the area. At that time, he had regained consciousness. Once at the scene, the paramedics decided to call the helicopter to get him out of the area, due to the difficulties presented by the access. Firefighters, the GES rescue helicopter, a medical ambulance and another basic life support ambulance from the SUC, Local Police, Civil Protection, and the Civil Guard have been dispatched to the scene.
The firefighters rescued the injured man with the collaboration of Local Police and Civil Guard officers. The affected individual presented severe traumatic brain injury.
The medical personnel of the basic life support ambulance of the SUC performed the first assistance, until the arrival of the GES helicopter, which transferred him to the firefighters' esplanade, and from there, a medical ambulance of the SUC took charge of his assistance and transfer to the Doctor José Molina Orosa Hospital.
