Rogelio Tenorio de Páiz passed away this Friday at around 06:00 hours in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, at the age of 90 years. Tenorio has been one of the prominent personalities within the society of Arrecife, as he was mayor of the municipality between 1970 and 1974. He was also president of the Casino Club Náutico between 1968 and 1972; and ran the third pharmacy that opened in the capital of Lanzarote. The former mayor of the capital will be cremated at 4:00 p.m. in Las Palmas.

The Arrecife City Council, through the mayoress Eva de Anta, has conveyed "its condolences for the death" of the former mayor, Rogelio Tenorio de Páiz. He was appointed representative of the Council after the mandate of Ginés de la Hoz.
