Maritime Rescue assists a cruise passenger in Arrecife

The Salvamar rescued this Tuesday a cruise passenger in waters near Arrecife who required health assistance, as reported by Maritime Rescue on social networks. The events occurred after midnight eight nautical miles from the capital of Lanzarote.

The Salvamar Al Nair was then requested to move a passenger from the Marella Explorer ship to La Marina to be treated for a mild health problem. An accompanying person also had to be evacuated.

Once on land, the basic life support ambulance of the Canary Health Service (SUC) was in charge of transferring the patient to the Molina Orosa Hospital. The affected person had a mild health problem, as reported by the Emergency Coordination Center to La Voz.
