The National Police have arrested a British man, D.C.R, 65 years old and with no police record, at Lanzarote airport, who was wanted by a court in Arrecife for an offense against traffic safety.

According to La Provincia, the Superior Police Headquarters reported in a statement that the events unfolded when several police officers carrying out a security check on a flight from Gatwick Airport (England) requested his documentation.

The agents were able to verify that there was a current warrant from an investigating court in Arrecife for an offense against traffic safety, so they proceeded to arrest him.

After the corresponding police report was prepared, the detainee was placed at the disposal of the competent judicial authority.
