The Yaiza Civil Guard arrested on May 25 a person with the initials D.B., 32 years old and of foreign nationality, as the alleged perpetrator of a crime against public health, after finding a marijuana plant cultivation in his home.
As a result of various information collected by the Civil Guard about a possible marijuana cultivation inside a home in the town of Playa Blanca, "the pertinent steps were initiated to investigate the facts and locate the plantation in question," explain from the Civil Guard.
Entry and registration
Once the exact address where the plantation was allegedly located was verified, the agents carried out the entry and search of the suspicious house, with the prior authorization of its resident, D.B., finding inside a total of 82 marijuana plants, as well as numerous instruments used for marijuana cultivation, such as air extractors, fans and precision scales. The agents proceeded to arrest the person as the alleged perpetrator of a crime against public health.
The detainee, together with the objects and plants seized, has been placed at the disposal of the corresponding Arrecife Duty Court.
