National Police agents have arrested a 24-year-old man in the municipality of Arrecife, with a long criminal record, as the alleged perpetrator of a violent robbery.
The events were triggered after a woman reported that when she was leaving the supermarket where she had just shopped, a hooded young man had pulled her purse, violently stealing it.
The woman recognized the individual as the young man who had followed her in the establishment minutes before and was behind her in the checkout line.
With the physical characteristics provided by the victim, the police officers identified the individual, who was arrested as the alleged perpetrator of a violent robbery.
After the corresponding police report was prepared, the detainee was placed at the disposal of the competent Judicial Authority.
The police intervention was carried out by agents from the Arrecife Police Station.
