The Civil Guard of the Main Post of Yaiza arrested on July 25 a 52-year-old man, with no previous record, as the alleged perpetrator of a crime of exhibitionism, for taking photos of minors and masturbating in broad daylight on Playa Blanca.
The Benemérita initiated the investigation as a result of citizen collaboration, in which a person reported that a man was supposedly "taking photographs and videos with his mobile phone where there were minors, even masturbating in broad daylight on the beach, in view of the people who were in the place, including minors."
Therefore, the Civil Guard took statements from several witnesses who were in the area, all the statements being similar to the reported events.
Likewise, the Civil Guard indicates that all the appropriate investigations and inquiries were carried out to locate the address, as well as the appropriate police investigations and various steps to identify the alleged perpetrator, informing the Investigating Court of Arrecife of the events that occurred and the steps taken, to whom a judicial warrant for entry and search of the home of the alleged perpetrator of the events is requested, in order to verify if there are digital files with recordings/photographs where minors appear.
Entry and registration
On July 25, the Civil Guard carried out the entry and subsequent search of the home of the perpetrator of the events, where the arrest is carried out, in addition, several computer devices and digital storage media such as a computer, a tablet, a mobile phone and several storage devices were seized, which will be sent to the Technological Investigation Team (EDITE) of the Civil Guard of Las Palmas for study and thus be able to continue with the investigation.
The detainee, together with the proceedings instructed for this purpose, was placed at the disposal of the Court on Guard duty in Arrecife.
