The firefighters of the Security and Emergency Consortium carried out a fire drill at the Yaiza school on Friday morning.
The drill started at 9:33 in the morning. When the firefighters arrived at the scene, the head of the educational center was waiting for them with the building plans, with the evacuation plan already made, to indicate where the incident was.
After that, the firefighters entered the center to search and extinguish the fire. In the school's Medusa classroom, they located a teacher inside, sitting on the floor and conscious. At that moment, they took her outside and placed her in the hands of the health services.
Once the outbreak of fire was extinguished, the firefighters ventilated all the rooms and informed the Emergency Coordination Center (CECOES).
Local Police and Civil Protection agents also came to the scene.
