A motorcyclist was injured on Wednesday afternoon after slipping on a large oil stain in Arrecife. The man was injured.
The events took place around 3:00 p.m. on Sorondongo Street in the capital of Lanzarote. Firefighters from the Security and Emergency Consortium were alerted by the Coordinating Center for Emergencies and Security (CECOES) to clean the road and prevent further accidents.
Upon arrival at the area, the firefighters proceeded to clean the road using sepiolite to remove any oil residue and prevent future incidents. Once the cleaning was completed and it was verified that there was no risk, they informed CECOES about the completion of their work and returned to the base.
Local Police officers were also at the scene, attending to the situation.
