Agents of the Local Police of Teguise and the Civil Guard arrested this Saturday a man when he was trying to rob a house in Tíagua, in the municipality of Teguise, where a couple resides who were in the house at that time. The detainee, according to La Voz de Lanzarote, is a native of San Bartolomé.
The events occurred around 9:00 p.m., when a neighbor heard some knocks and looked out the window. At that moment she saw a hooded man hitting the window of a house, so the woman began to shout, alerting all the neighbors, who left their houses and approached the house, managing to make the hooded man flee the place.
At the same time, the Local Police of Teguise and the Civil Guard were called. Several agents from the two security forces went to the town, who, guided by the neighbors and even by the people who were at the Tiagua Sociocultural Center, discovered where the alleged perpetrator of the events was hiding. Thus, one of the local police officers managed to find the alleged assailant and arrest him.
