Firefighters rescued a hiker in the Famara mountain, Peñas del Chache, the highest point of Lanzarote, this Friday afternoon. Specifically, the rescue was carried out by workers from the Central Park at 3:58 p.m.
The Emergency Coordination Center (CECOES) was in charge of activating the firefighters after receiving the notice that a man who had gone for a walk "had panicked" on the mountain due to the wind and could not move forward.
Once at the place, they contacted the mountaineer to access his exact location. When they arrived at the place, they realized that the hiker was in good condition, but due to the state of panic in which they were, he needed help to continue walking.
According to firefighters from the Lanzarote Security and Emergency Consortium, they advanced until they reached the main path, where they left the 4x4 vehicles located and transferred the man to the point where he started the walk.
