Three people have been slightly injured in a collision between three cars on the LZ-2 at the entrance to the Guacimeta airport. In addition, another person has been hit by another vehicle at the scene of the accident and has suffered a fracture in one leg of a less serious nature.
The incident took place at approximately 05.47 hours this Sunday. At that time, the Coordinating Center for Emergencies and Security (CECOES) 1-1-2 of the Government of the Canary Islands received an alert indicating that an accident had occurred involving three vehicles and that a fourth vehicle had hit a person in the same place. Agents of the Local Police of San Bartolomé, the Civil Guard and two ambulances have been transferred there.
SUC personnel have assessed and assisted all the injured. On the one hand, the three involved in the traffic accident, a 24-year-old male and two women aged 48 and 50 respectively, who have been slightly injured, and the fourth, who was the 48-year-old person who was hit, who has suffered less serious injuries. All have been transferred in basic life support ambulances to the Doctor José Molina Orosa Hospital.
The Civil Guard has initiated the corresponding proceedings. The firefighters of the Consortium have proceeded to clean the road.
