The Emergency Consortium had to go twice this Sunday to rescue several hikers on the La Corona volcano in the municipality of Haría.
At around 10:44 a.m., Emergency personnel went near the church of Yé to help a hiker who had fallen and had severe pain in her ankle. Once immobilized, they transferred her to the ambulance to later evacuate her to the Molina Orosa hospital. Local Police officers also traveled there.
Two hours later they returned to the La Corona volcano because two people were trapped on a slope from which they did not know how to get out. The firefighters, together with the Local Police, accompanied the hikers to a safe area.
