Firefighters had to act on Saturday afternoon to collaborate with health personnel and rescue an injured woman from her home. The injured woman, a 45-year-old British woman, suffered an accident inside a house in Plaza Pedro Alcántara in the capital of Lanzarote.

Once alerted by the CEOCES, an ambulance from the Canary Emergency Service and the Lanzarote Emergency Consortium went to the scene.

When the paramedics arrived, they found that they could not get the stretcher out of the house, so they called the firefighters. The emergency personnel immobilized the injured woman on a spinal board and with the help of a height vehicle lowered her to where the ambulance was located.

Once outside, she was transferred to the SUC ambulance and subsequently evacuated to Doctor José Molina Orosa Hospital.
