Firefighters extinguished a container fire on Juan Negrín Street in Arrecife at around 5:30 a.m. this Friday, as reported by the Emergency Consortium.

When the officers arrived at the scene, Local Police agents had already separated the containers to prevent them all from burning, although three of them were affected by the flames and were burned and unusable.

While the firefighters were working to extinguish this fire, they received notice of another container fire on Francos Street, so together with the Local Police they went to the place where a container was burning in a widespread manner. After extinguishing the flames and leaving the streets suitable for traffic, they finished the service.

On the other hand, at around 6:20 a.m. this Friday, another fire affected a premises on Las Acacias Street in Costa Teguise. When the officers arrived, a column of black smoke was coming out of the premises, which was closed.

Next, they forced one of the metal doors of the business to be able to access it and locate the origin of the fire, so they proceeded to extinguish it. The interior of the premises was greatly affected by the smoke and the high temperature. After extinguishing the flames, they ventilated the premises and took the displays and the burned material outside.

The Civil Guard and Local Police of Teguise also attended the scene.
