Firefighters found a dead woman in her Arrecife home this Monday, which they accessed after receiving a notice from a neighbor, who alerted that smoke was coming out of the house and the owner was not answering. When the Emergency Consortium forces arrived at the home, located on Guigua street in Altavista, the neighbors had already managed to enter through a window and had opened the door from the inside.
Upon accessing the interior, they found the woman next to the entrance in cardiorespiratory arrest and unsuccessfully performed resuscitation maneuvers on her. As for the smoke, it came from a cauldron that had been left on the fire and had already been removed by the neighbors.
Agents from the Local Police and the National Police also went to the scene, as well as personnel from the Canary Emergency Service, who were in charge of continuing the resuscitation maneuvers initiated by the firefighters. However, the doctor was finally only able to certify the death.
